I stayed and worked at one in Hawaii for a month, but not long enough to say " I lived there" but did experience. Another time I lived for 3 months with 7 men (only female living in the residence) in Topanga. Both experiences were fantastic and I would recommend it for periods of time if you are interested in community living. It can work beautifully or be a nightmare. Depends on people and the initial set up of situation. The more there are common goals and motivations the better it can flow.
